The Last Fortune
The Last Fortune was definitely my most challenging creative endeavor of my entire life. After the second time I was laid off in 3 years I had a lot of down time on my hands; down time that I had the suspicion I’d never see again so instead of sitting around playing video games, I got to work.
I had the general concept of the story several years prior but hadn't put pen to paper yet. When I eventually did though, what I had thought would be a 2 minute short was almost 4; that was how long I needed to tell the whole story. No more, no less. I learned SO MANY THINGS about 3D animation as a whole and specifically my 3D software of choice, Cinema 4D.
The Last fortune would go on to be accepted into the 49th annual Cleveland International Film Festival, win Best Animated Short at the Osaka Horizon International Film Festival, be featured in the Maxon Gallery, and be on display at “Lake Effect: Artists Cleveland Artists Now”, an exhibition through the Cleveland Museum of Art.
